How do you want to sing?

Hi, I’m Juliet, Your Online Singing Coach.  When I was a kid, I dreamed of being on Broadway.  I learned how to sing the musical theater style.  When I got to college, my dream had changed to that  of being an opera singer.  I went to a Conservatory and learned to sing classical style.  I then began a career singing in musical theater and classical styles.  But I had also started writing songs that I dreamed of having placed on television shows and films.  So I learned how to sing pop style.  PS Along the way, I sang with a country band and a jazz band and did acoustic singer/songwriter sets, too.  As a lover of music from all corners of the globe, I even trained in the Carnatic (Indian) style of music! I also furiously, passionately studied what makes vocal performances and live performances compelling, and what makes them forgettable.  I taught myself what most teachers don’t cover - vocal style.  Atop my foundation in classical technique, I learned how to use my voice in ways that are more contemporary, that convey emotion but won’t damage the voice (one thing a lot of pop singers need to be careful with!).  I target the tools for expression -  the voice, the body, and the microphone, and I LOVE to share it all with my students.  I challenge my students to tap into the emotional connection, to find their authentic voice, and go one step further, one step deeper, when they sing.  And one more thing.  Singing should be joyful, not painful (unless it’s a really sad song!).  So I am here to help you find that joy, stay in that joy, and share that joy with the people you sing for.  Let’s sing!
